Dreams and Reflections
"Dreams and Reflections" is a fiction book with a dash of real life. It is a package of feelings and facts born in the cradle of experience and imagination.
The first part of the book is a collection of mostly love poems. A few verses have a social critical flavor. Following the poetry is a collection of short stories. The first story is about the bird Picotin, its trauma, and its impact on his adoptive human family. "Gregorio" is the story of a boy and his awareness of right and wrong. "Nobody is Perfect" is about life's surprises. "The Massacre" is about the inability to do good when overpowered by a lethal force. Surprising end! "A Short Trip" recounts the results of an impulsive decision. "The Cashier" is about what happens when wrong attitude, judgment, and reaction are combined. The book's third part is a collection of opinions and essays. They are opinions about equality, what we are, and the trap embodied by high technology. The book ends with a piece on Human language. |
