Aylin Belle Amie

Picture
Aylin was born in London, England, after World War II. Soon, she immigrated to North America with her mother and started writing at age nine. She dabbled in poetry in high school, earned an AA in Humanities and graduated from nursing school.

Following this, Aylin study music, foreign languages, and cultures in Canada and Europe. After the birth of her daughter, Aylin continued to write poetry and began working with children.

Upon semi-retirement, more time became available for artistic and academic endeavors. She earned a certificate in preschool teaching and now studies literature and sings with choral groups. Aylin also spends time in Las Vegas and Victoria, BC, Canada. She finds inspiration in both the natural surroundings and homey sceneries of all these places.

Ever Since That Day . . . presents the terror and anxiety of the Covid era, as does, a part of this collection. The world of the future will know how the globe felt during our pandemic. We, who experienced it, won’t forget its gravity. I want to show the effect of a life changing event, be it noble or ruthless.  I hope it gives us strength to build our lives.  During the most downtrodden or contented of times, we have the power of our improvement by seeking beauty and hope.
