Suzanne Holbrook-Brumbaugh, pen name – Suzanne de Board, has spent most of her life in sunny, southern California. Her first four years of college were spent at SNU in Bethany, Oklahoma, her fifth year - for student teaching - at Pasadena College, now known as Point Loma Nazarene University. She received a lifetime teaching credential from the state of California, and is now a guest teacher, for pre-K through High School, on the Hesperia Unified School District. When not teaching, she loves to write for young and old alike. At the present she has three books published, The Gift – a Fantasy novel, Pen Pearls – an Anthology of short stories and poetry, and Sarah Jane – a slightly supernatural mystery/suspense.

Merlin’s Revenge, book two in The Gift series, should be available this summer, and two chapter books Bumble Frog, and Maya – Bay of the Dolphin, should be available Fall of 2013. Suzanne enjoys writing, art, music, photography, gardening, baking, and a variety of needlework and other crafts. The Gift

The land of the Forbidden Room is dying, and only an outsider princess can restore order and bring the land to life again. Like her mother and grandmother, before her, Belinda has 'The Gift,' but will she have the courage to accept the invitation to enter this strange new land of magic and adventure, wonder . . . and perhaps great danger. 'The Gift' revolves around Todd - the magical guide to adventure, garden fairies, mer-people, would be knights-in-shinning-armor, a lovable wizard, and an evil dragon. This book is a middle grade novel, suitable for readers age eight and above, and is an adventure set for both boys and girls. It is the first in a series of five fantasy novels with a new, imaginative approach to inter-dimensional travel.

pen pearls - a personal anthology

Pen Pearls - A potpourri of short stories, articles and poems - from children's works to drama, humor, romance and more. Some may make you laugh. Others may bring tears. Some will simply entertain. Life, love, curiosity, hope. Pearls from my pen . . . especially for you, my reader. This book is sprinkled with drawings by the author, and includes a word-fit puzzle, accompanied by an award winning painting on the back cover.

Sarah Jane

Nine-year-old Sarah Jane is in trouble. Through no fault of her own she is branded a witch, and witches must die. Mustn't they? Sarah Jane is a mystery/adventure novel for middle grade and up.
