The Wordsmyth E-Magazine Submission Guidelines
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Plagiarism will disqualify any submission from publication. So will the use of any Ai authored material.
- Font is 12-point Times New Roman.
- 5,000 word limit. No exceptions.
- All submissions will have 1.15 spacing between sentences.
- Except for the first paragraph after a scene break, indent all paragraphs using the tab to .03. DO NOT USE THE SPACE BAR.
- All submissions will be edited for grammar, punctuation, and spelling prior to being submitted.
- Short stories, flash fiction, poetry, essays, op/eds, excerpts from member’s books and artwork and photography are allowed. The artwork/photography must belong to the submitter.
- Photos/artwork will be 300 dpi. Photos embedded in a story will be no larger than 2x3/3x2 inches, while photos/artwork submitted as individual items will be 6x8 or 4x6.
- Photos of people must be accompanied by a release to publish.
- Adult content WILL NOT be accepted as we are accepting material from students.
- SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS THE 15TH OF THE PUBLICATION MONTH.
- Stories/articles containing religious/political commentary will not seek to convert anyone.
- Material that does not meet our baseline standard of quality will be returned for revision.
- Publication is on a first come, first served basis.
- The first eight (8) story titles and author's names will appear on the magazine's front cover.
- Free speech is respected but ad hominin attacks on people in general will not be tolerated.
- Stories that do not conform to the guidelines will be returned to the author for correction.
- Ai can be used for research/proofing stories but not to write them.
- All submissions must include a short author’s bio, a headshot, and your branch name.
- The deadline for submitting to our emagazine is the15th of the month. Please follow the submission requirements (they are in the previous issues). Send in all the submissions to Ms Jenny Margotta at [email protected]. You must be a member to submit.
